Cindy. Ward Two. For You.

I’m Cindy Dyballa, your neighbor and ward 2 city council member since 2017. Thank you Ward 2!  It’s been a great honor and privilege to represent all of you, and I look forward to 2 more years, if you all are willing.

In September, I was deeply moved to be nominated at the City caucus by four of our neighbors, including a youth council member who will cast her first vote this fall! Watch the nominations here --ward 2 begins at minute 15.I'm also honored to be endorsed by our county council vice president (and former Takoma Park mayor) Kate Stewart.

The City election for city council members and mayor is this November (every 2 years).  In this photo, Takoma Park Mayor Searcy is issuing me the oath of office in Nov. 2022.

As your current city council member, I continue to work for policies and programs that support the community we all want to live in, one that’s:

inclusive –for all our ages, incomes, cultures, and races; 

affordable –for a range of incomes, housing types and lifestyles; and

sustainable—for our climate, environment, and local economy. 

What I'm hearing from ward 2 residents is that these issues still ring true for many of us.  

I's important to me to stay in touch with ward 2 residents. Each week that city council is in session, as your city council member I send out an update by email with city council votes, discussions, and actions, and my views on issues of the week.
